this may help. i stripped out a 70 dart and it had a vent tube attached to it. my 71 does not have a vent tube on it. 1 installed from the outside in and the other 1 installs from inside the trunk and it buts up to the quarter panel from inside. i still have the 1 with the vent line, i think.
