1969 Dodge Dart GT
Barnfind/Original 1969 Dodge Dart GT with a 318 engine, 904 auto transmission on the floor and an open 7.25” rear. F5 Metallic green exterior with black interior and green vinyl top.
VIN numbers match the engine/ transmission, build sheet and fender tag. Original mileage (as noted on title) with possibly one early repaint.
The sheetmetal appears original except where spot rust repair and skim coat filler was recently completed (with some rust in the drivers side fender being the primary remaining issue.)
The car runs and drives well. The brake and fuel system was completely replaced as was most all engine ignition/ cooling components. Electronic ignition added for consistency and reliability. Transmission fluid and filter changed and it shifts fine. The car passed a normal Pa state vehicle inspection. No engine work has been completed to my knowledge.
The interior is untouched and retains its factory appearance. Unfortunately the headliner has a hole above both sunvisors but they are hidden under normal circumstances.
The trunk retains its original mat, bumper jack, hook and handle. The vinyl top appears original and is in good shape except a small area seen in picture.
All lights, gauges and switches work as they should as does the AM radio. Chrome bumpers are nice as is the side trim which is complete and solidly mounted.
Thus far, I have resisted the urge to hotrod the car and left it nearly bone stock- hence it retains the factory 13” wheels and hubcaps with new radial tires.
This is currently a turn key classic that my teenage boys fight over to drive. It’s not fast nor loud but represents quite well as it starts, stops and steers without unwanted excitement and turns heads every time. If you are looking for a fairly sorted out Mopar to enjoy with little hassle this may be it.
Options include- power steering, bucket seats, floor shift auto console, tinted glass, AM radio, light package, 3 speed wiper, drip rail and body side trim.
A honest front to back assessment of the car will be provided to the serious buyer. I am located in Altoona (less than 2 hours from Carlisle and the car would be able to be viewed as needed around the show dates.) Title in hand. No trades.
