Putting in an 8 3/4 rear in my duster that has a 7 1/4 rear parking brake cable question.

I am doing the same on my 74 but I have none of the emergency cables/parts. I have found several kits but, they specify "with intermediate cable or without" Is their a way way to tell by looking at the car?
