I apologize for my late response. I've spent some time in England.
I did some reading and felt stupid because I have had an oil consuming problem earlier with my daily and we've replaced the PCV valve then... I mean a malfuntioning PCV valve can suck oil instead of air, so I've removed the PCV and EGR valves yesterday. The PCV valve and the hose are oily all the way to the carburetor. The hose itself decided to be a biscuit when it got removed. The EGR however is pretty much clogged. I think these two issues might be a part of the oil consumption thing. Both valves are the original parts as they look...
In that case I think replacing the "Valve Cover Breather" (or whatever it's called) might not be a bad idea. Does someone here know the OEM part number? ('74 225 /6)
How do I clean the intake manifold form all that stuff without removing it? Brake cleaner and compressed air? Vacuuming?
