Belvidere Mopar Happening…..What a great day!
Went to the Mopar Happening in Belvidere IL yesterday, loaded up the Demon Saturday night after a week of cleaning, polishing, detailing and getting in every nook and cranny with my Hello Kitty toothbrush!
It was warm and humid, but not unbearable - unloaded the car and parked in the A-Body modified area, there were about 10 cars in class.
Turnout was awesome, I was told 320 cars!
I really enjoyed talking with everyone and walking around looking at all the cars.
I usually don’t hang around til the end, but I thought I may have a chance for an award?
The named A body modified, 3rd place, nope. 2nd place no, maybe a first place? Nope. Aw darnit.
Oh well, I stuck around just listening to all the others, then when it came to Modified “Best of Show”
I’ll be damned, they called my name!! I’m still in awe over winning it, what a great feeling.
The Chicagoland Mopar Connection put on a great show, I recommend getting to this show next year if you’ve never made it there.
