Any street 440 build suggestions
If you keep the stock low compression pistons (later 440s were as low as 7.4 to 1), first thing I would do would be closed chamber stealth heads. Even if you change pistons, to get to around 9/9.5 to one, new aftermarket heads would be first on my list. Rings and bearings for the bottom end, and a mild hydraulic cam.
I wouldn't put ten cents into iron heads, (except maybe, if it was a dated number matched motor for a high dollar collector car.)
