For the early 904, no matter what engine (225 or 273) there were only 2 converters available. 1960 to early 1962, and late 1962 t0 1967. Both had 4 mounting pads, slotted hub, 1.550 pilot, 18 splines and no weights. The difference between the two is the number of teeth on the ring gear, the early one had a 148 tooth ring gear and the late one 122 teeth. Have I no information on the stall speed, but on a bad guess, less than 2000 rpm??????
And Rusty, you're correct, the delayed paint was rust. I sure would have like to have the patent on it, as it's the only common paint job on all FACTORY converters .
