Manifold Vacuum Advance what am I not getting?

This is a crazy subject and after reading other threads about it here for years, I wouldn't ask the question. I would just run what I thought was right or what worked (not even best) and not bring the subject up. No reason to argue about it or get your panties in a wad because someone brought it up again. Obviously you brain surgeons of manifold vacuum are piss poor teachers because most of the fellows here don't understand it. Oh, I have a question for you.
