Roll back tow trucks are too cool

I have a 93 F250 that a tree fell on so the cab is too far gone. I found an 81 cab so Iam going to swap it over to the bullnose style.

Ford trucks did dominate in the 70s thru 90s. (I call the years of the truck.)

Today the choice are different than years past. So I own an '07 Ram 3500 6.7l Cummins Diesel. And now a 1980 F350 dump with 6.9 International diesel.

Can't really compare the diesels. The newer Cummins has more HP with the turbo. Thus much nicer down the freeway. At significant higher top speed. Both similar in low end torque. But guessing Cummins still with the edge. But trucks have different duties. Ram for heavy gooseneck race trailer towing. (Over 14,000 lbs.) Dump for what it does. Carry and dump everything from brush, to rock and scrap. 4000lb box rate. Probably could handle a little more.
