It's just a lock up of the converter - don't expect more than 1-200 rpm drop. The OD should be the big drop.
I set mine up to actuate OD and LU manually with a coupe buttons and I love it! I just hit about 8000 miles on my 42 RH with a fresh rebuilt unit...
Good to know. I saw a Youtube video of a Jeep suggesting lockup was like a 5th gear. Perhaps it is if you have excess slip in the TC.
What about overdrive engagement? How quickly / hard should it come in and should it stay at lower RPM when it switches out until the gas pedal is pushed again?
