A NFO buddy of mine got a ride in a B-52 that was participating in an exercise with a carrier battle group back in the late 80s. They did a low-level approach on the carrier and he was up front in/near the cockpit and described how the pilot looked flying it. He said it was like a guy driving on old car on a crappy road with huge corrections required at the yoke. His imitation was hilarious.
