going back to manual disc brakes from power

It bothers me too. I'm used to my modern cars and I frequently catch my foot on the brake pedal.
The pedal pad is the original 325,000 mile pad and it is almost worn through on the lower right corner. I would replace it but all that wear was caused by my dad!
