This is my down day, students are all gone I got nuthin left in the tank. But got to clean up a weeks worth of crap from the class. I put music on, get comfy, pour a toddy and grab an oily rag and have at it! Each student handled every firearm multiple times demonstrating how to load , unload and clear malfunctions. A lot of instructors have them do that aspect virtually utilizing theater of the mind and have the instructor candidate verbally explain each step. I just think it is better to hand them the rifle with some snap caps and say show me! Until you can preform a tangible exercise with your hands you ain’t got it! So yes perhaps I may have started a wee bit early today!
