1 7/8 Header Selection

Didn’t you say you want to KEEP your power steering? If that is correct you can’t use a Hooker 5204 or the 5303 (which is what you should have) and you are limited to TTI stuff.

I have used a set of TA headers for a Pontiac and they are very nice.

I’ve seen pictures of the TA headers hanging low but I’m not sure that is always the case.

Power steering on these cars kills header selection.

Edit: ok I read your post closer. If you are going to manual steering g than Hooker 5204 and 5303 will fit.

The 5204 is 1.750 inch with a 3 inch collector. Pretty small for 400 plus inches.

The 5303 is 1.875 with a 3 inch collector. I run those on 340 inches.

The other option is the Hedman stuff. I’ve used those BUT the biggest issue is the 7 and 8 tubes go out the fender. I didn’t want to cut my car up and I got lucky and found the 5303’s.

If you can live with cutting a hole in the fender and having one tube go out the fender well then it’s a very nice header.
Yep, manual box showed up Thursday, Mancini adapter tomorrow and have been sitting on my QA1 K member. Finally realized I needed bigger headers with what the stroker is putting out and have been looking for a box to show up on here. If I could find some 5303's it would be a done deal.

Since they aren't available, and don't expect any to show up anytime soon, I'll need to find something else. I've seen pictures of Headman 1 7/8 75140 headers on justinP61's Dart and I like the ground clearance. Summit doesn't show them being available, but Jegs says they can get them by third week in October, may just need to order some and see. The TA's would definitely work except for the clearance from what I've seen. They look like real quality headers and maybe the newer ones ride higher, just haven't seen anything, may need to go snoopin around moparts or yellowbullet to see if there are any pictures there.
