Other than a rental Challenger 5.7/8A, I don't have much personal experience but I will say it was lots of fun. I know a 2.71 or similar should match up well with a 26" tire and feel like a Challenger R/T with the 3.06 and those have a plenty usable 1st gear.
Honestly, I don't remember exactly... 275/60s maybe. They're something like 28" tall. I've been watching for a deal on a open 8-3/4 3.08 to pop up. I'll swap it out eventually. Definitely don't need a locker in Hoopty.
