Have you ever lost

I have a 1972 Demon 340, 3 speed from the factory. I'm the only owner the car has ever had. I've always had a vision for it, through the years the vision has changed some, but I have never lost interest.
Now at 71 years old, I have finally come to the realization that it's never gonna happen. Some due to not having the funds when I was younger, some because I don't know anything about body work, some just coming to realize I just can't get it done.
I have been considering speaking with a friend of mine who has restored several Mopars in his life. He has restored a 'Cuda, a Road Runner, a Charger, helped another friend with a 68 notchback Barracuda.
I have thought about seeing if he would like to have the car, for free. At least if he is interested, the car has a chance to live again. Having never had a place to store it, it has some rust issues, but I have both quarter panels and the tail light panel. That would save him a good bit of money right there.
It's hard to give up on a dream, but there comes a point that reality overwhelms you, and you know what is possible and what's not. That time is here.
