Since attending LS Fest, I've been super busy working on the car, with little time for updates. First off, the transmission is at Liberty to meet the gear case and the rest of the transmission parts. I really tackled the front end, tacking in the full cage. A lot of time was spent redesigning the spindles' lower ball joint section to maintain proper geometry and improve on the original design of these cars. I also removed the old bump stop mounts on the arms and replaced them with lower-profile versions for better travel.

I managed to pick up an original set of Sox and Martin elephant ears to use instead of my Ramcharger versions. I also caved and bought a fresh cowl, so when I start working on the firewall and cowl in October, I'll be working with a brand-new piece. After that, I spent more time welding the chassis, finishing up the coil-over mounts, and tying up loose ends. I added travel limiters, figured out the final height, and, of course, took more measurements (a recurring theme).

I took some time to put together a list of hardware sizes as I broke down the K-member for final welding. I've got an order of titanium on the way, and I'm sending out the adjusters and a few other parts to be custom-made from titanium as well. I also worked on getting the Strange brakes mocked up before taking them apart for stripping and recoating in a mag finish.

Now, with the front end about 90% done, I'm just waiting on a few things to arrive, like the new large upper ball joint cups and spherical ball joints to modify the old uppers and re-taper the spindles. For the lowers, I ended up going with an AJE aluminum setup, which I'll machine an extension for and get welded to ensure proper steering geometry.

Tonight, I'll be finishing the welding on the HDK lower mounts, and then I'll be all set to dive into the firewall and cowl area.

One more thing I had to do is order a fresh billet crank as the Molnar I had (brand new) was covered in micro fractures and that forced my to look else were was going to go with Bryant but they are 18 months out So Callies is making hot a 1 off Ultra Billet. To hopefully make our PRI deadline for the engine.
