150 degree ground temps is what kills the unsuspecting over the 120 ambient. Sun goes down and the heat radiates from the ground. It’s a vicious cycle for months. Then monsoon season arrives and provides enough humidity where the swamp coolers become non effective which makes working in a shop fun. Our particular area has treated us well though. Decent wages for the area, low cost of living for a long time. It’s just time for a change. Wife retired four weeks ago (53). I’ll prob have to put a few more years in.
