I’m excitedly curious to find my smoking issue when I tear these heads off this winter. They were used damaged Edelbrock I bought for 350.00, repaired them, and ported them. They have been on 4-5 engines since 2008 and although it ran 6.00 last time out has been smoking all year. This engine if you remember was flooded with oil 2-3 times when I built it with those offset rocker heads. I shocked I didn’t take out the rings but it ran 6.07 on its very first pass. So I’m guessing valve guides as they have never been touched. Only smokes ideling and in the water box.
