30-60 yards is the perfect pistol shot! My go to is an old Ruger single action Super Blackhawk 44. We are in bow season right now. Alternate (muzzle loader) does not start for a couple of weeks yet. Bow season is hard work! Our boys all use cross bows. While I fully understand the efficiency and effectiveness of the cross bow. To me bow hunting still means a traditional bow. Ie: no wheels! But man are those compounds nasty!
