Anyone know anything about Subarus?

They suggest you use your intake w/ injectors, stuff like that.
You can do simple tuneup, preventative maintenance, but pretty serviceable as is. I have had the local JDM distributor do a swap, and I have done my own. The engines are pulled with the accessories - typically alternator, p/s pump, a/c compressor, etc. again probably serviceable as is. They pull them in Japan at 55-65k miles or so, I believe. They will typically state the mileage. They typically appear well serviced or maintained. I just did the timing belt on my JDM engine as routine maintenance four years after initial replacement. Everything looks good. Been happy.
Well, we will look into these JDM motors a bit more, it seems to be quite the business in North America importing engines from Japan, from all makes, i assume because their only allowed to keep their cars on the road for 10 years because of emissions laws i understand? But there are subtle differences in them. It would be easier to just find something locally but there scarce as hens teeth because it's the first thing pulled and sold from a wreck. I got a feeling this thing is going to be in my kids driveway longer than planned. We did straight edge and inspect the block last week and it seems fine, there were no reported knocks before the over heating began so if we could just find some heads that could work but the bloody heads are around 4500 to!
