Anyone who has installed a silver sports automatic trans in a A-body?

DionR Thank you for the info. I will see what I can come up with with these leads and see if it will help me out. To answer your question the TKX I did purchase back when it was keislers, it just took me 12 years to get the car up and running. The manual works great in the car… but at my advanced age and slowness with the stick I know I can have more fun with the automatic so that’s why I’m switching back. Since the car is done I didn’t want to tear it apart again to rebuild the tunnel so this seemed to be a good solution.

For what it's worth, I am a pretty hard core manual trans guy, but there are times I wonder if I shouldn't have gone auto.

If you bought your trans from Keisler, it is probably a TKO. The TKX wasn't released until a couple of years ago. Doesn't mean much, just so you know.

So when bought it from Keisler, did they modify the trans to make it fit so you didn't have to cut the crossmember? Because the A41 will probably require the front of the crossmember to be removed so it might still require some reworking.
