There are guys that purposely never calibrate their flow benches. With a manometer pilot style of bench it gets very tricky because weather affects it hourly. That why I sold my one bench and built an orfice style of bench with electronics. Set it and check it easily with your calibration plates and it doesn’t move. But then again high flow numbers sell more jobs.


Yup, same thing just a different tool. It’s almost always an operator error or worse yet an operator fraud.

It’s damn sad that that happens and we both know it does. It makes anyone legitimately testing take a black eye for the lazy and crooked.
