Torqueflite modification question
69 barracuda basic 2 barrel 318/727. I am rebuilding the transmission and would like to accomplish as much as I can while doing it.
I have read about a 2nd to 3rd overlap modification that can be done with either more engagement springs, or a restrictor (Dorman 555-115 with.90-.140 hole.)
Honestly, I don’t even even know if 2nd to 3rd overlap would be an issue, but if there’s an easy modification to do right now, I would do it.
My transmission had nine springs total and 3 front clutches. And my transmission rebuild kit is just a master kit with street clutches.
The tc-tf kit I went with looks like that in the pic, no restrictors, just drillbits, and servo seal, and heavy duty springs. I followed the shift kit directions perfectly.
