Hi guys.
Well we have a bit of rain at present. Shouldn't last too long by the looks of it so hopefully the show will go on.
Other than that is been nice.
This afternoon this little guy about 3 yrs old went walking past our place by himself.
We knew who he is as he has wondered off by himself several times.
He had gone past our house and crossed the road and went down another street.
I went after him and took him by the hand and back to our house where I called the cops.
This had gone on before back in the winter. There he was standing in the middle of the street with a jacket on but not zipped up and no gloves. I called the police and they came and got him and took him home.
So today when the cops were about to arrive the mother comes out only wrapped in a towel and took him home.
She said someone was supposed to be looking after him.
But we told the cops what happened and they went to their house.
This is the 4th time he's wondered off. Thank goodness he hasn't been hit by a car or kidnapped.
I told the cops Children Aid should be looking into this.
Kids don't ask to be brought into this world but he's yours so take care of him and appreciate what you have.
Have a great day
Long time ago when I was driving city transit bus in Winnipeg, I was heading down a very busy arterial street in afternoon rush hour, chilly late fall day, with a full busload of people, when a boy of about 3 or 4 years old came running off a side street and nearly ran into the side of the bus.
I immediately stopped the bus and opened the door with the intention of getting him into the bus, but he just jumped right in before I got out of the seat. I paused for a half minute or so to see if a parent was following, but not a soul in sight, so I quickly called the operations center and carried on my route. The operations center called the police and 2 patrol cars plus a transit supervisor met me within 15 minutes to pick up the boy. He had apparently snuck out of the house when his mother was in the bathroom, and was returned to her.
You guys are great. Thanks for being there.
