Here I sit in bone dry central Texas (multi year drought), and I find it totally disheartening what everyone in the path of Helene is going through.
My hometown was about 1/2 wiped out by a 500 yr flood in ‘78. Property can be replaced, but the human losses are forever. Everyone prays for you.
I hope all profiteers and incompetent bureaucrats get what’s coming to them as you scratch your way back.
