Mopar Muscle induction Extravaganza Dyno testing SBM intakes, comparison....

About 20 years ago, I was at a general car swap meet with very little Mopar stuff. I did find one guy with mostly Mopar stuff, and he had a SBM dual 4 barrel intake manifold. I don't remember the brand, but he was asking $125 for it and probably would have taken $100. I have been kicking myself in the *** for 20 years for not buying that. Even if a good single 4 barrel on a good intake matched the power of two 500 CFM 4 barrels, imagine how cool it would look!
I always dyno my motors mainly to break them in we don't test to many different parts. However on one of my small blocks years ago we swapped my gasket matched Strip Dominator for an out of the box Victor and it was 13 hp better with no other changes. Most of my motors are in the mid 500 hp range and twice in testing we tried a Holley 950 instead of the 750 I currently run and there was literally no difference in hp or tq. We have also found which everybody knows adding a stroker kit really ups the tq. My current 410 inch motor makes 546 hp and 520 tq on pump gas , 9. 5 to 1 compression , the same motor with 11.5 compression on race gas made 549 hp and 450 tq.
