Right bank smoking

Gentleman (and possibly some ladies) right side exhaust is huffing some blue smoke. Doesn't really start until it gets warm. Can somebody give me some input and how to pretest to figure out if it's rings or valves before I take it apart? There's also a chance it's from the valley because I had the heads shaved years ago and didn't match the intake so it was burning some. Since then I did match the intake but I don't know if I ever follow through to see if it's seated now because that was about 40 years ago.
