The Clifford "shorty" headers do not hang low, It is the Aussiespeed long tube headers that hang really low on a 170 engine. I like the Clifford "shorties". It is just that they are not made for the 170 engine, in the early "A"'s. I have to modify them. The front collector will hit the steering box.
I don't know if Clifford is any better now, but in the past they might not have any in stock, but take money from people until they could do a production run, without informing people that there would be a delay.
