repair of 66 Barracuda Fender mounted Turn Signal Fins

Anyone had luck with repairing the fender mounted fins when the post is broken? I have a good set, but would like to have backups as no one appears to be making repro at this point. I have a broken one and before I started trying to cobble a fix I thought I would see what others have done first.
