1968 barracuda headlamps will not turn on
Could it be a ground issue? The dash frame is not installed and the all dashboard switches are lying of the floorboard
I’ve been going through the wiring to check that things are correct
Does the switch need to be grounded somewhere?
Is there a fusible link involved with that particular switch
Thank you

Do you have ANY power in the interior? Do you have the big red and the big black ammeter wires jumpered togehter? BE CAREFUL, neither is a ground

Nothing is connected in the interior
There’s no dash at all
Just wiring and harnesses
And YES the red and black wires are connected
Don’t see anywhere if there’s a fuse
Or a second fusible link for anything except the starting wiring from the starter relay to the ignition switch
I’ll probably need to start tracing wires
And clean all connections
If u have any ideas just let me know

Check for power and ground at the headlight sockets.

Well where you have things all torn apart it is difficult for me to "imagine" exactly what you have. Maybe you have part of a harness disconnected/ missing, etc. Do you have power at the red/ black bolted connection of the ammeter?

By the way if you do not have a service manual, jog over to MyMopar.com, and download one, free

Here is how this works:

what is important from this article, for now, is the little simplified diagram of power distribution

Follow the big RED. Power comes from battery, to the start relay big stud, to the engine bay fuse link, through the RED terminal of the bulkhead connector, and to the ammeter, through it, out of BLACK, and to the WELDED SPLICE a few inches away. Power for headlights ONLY comes from that splice to the light switch which has a breaker. From the light swtich to the dimmer, out of it on hi or lo beam wires and out through the bulkhead connector
