You need one of these to prime the engine before start up. And you can rotate the pump drive to clock it to the dizzy . Although like Del said it doesn’t really matter where #1 is pointing as long as you remember or mark that terminal #1.
Don’t forget to rotate the engine as you prime it so oil will get to the top end !
