12:05 Garage- ’70 Duster build

Went to cruising the coast again on Saturday. I usually just hang out and watch cars drive by all day on the Saturday of this event. A gentleman approaches me and asked what front suspension setup I had on the car, which I gladly provided the HDK information. He promptly says, "those coil overs must really make it handle well" To which I said it does handle well, but a shock and a spring isn't what make a good handling car, its the geometry of the suspension. He blows off my comment and asks about the rear, which I tell him its a leaf spring. He continues with, wouldn't it be so much better if you did a coil over in the back. Ugh! When will people stop thinking a damn shock and spring is what makes suspension superior to anything else?
Yeah, Most people think shiny=fast which it definitely doesn't but when all they read is marketing how would they know better? Part of why I want to optimize with the stock stuff first.
