That’s more likely to bell the bore than help anything. A proper rigid hone is the only thing that will correct geometry. Have you measured for diameter and bore taper with a proper bore gage?
Didn’t measure bore taper, don’t have the tools.
I did check gap on the new rings. Checked a cylinder by measuring ring gap in 4 spots all the way down the bore.
So it goes from up top a loose and smooth .020” gap and tightens up mid bore. Can still get a .020” feeler gauge through but it’s really tight. Not worried about it.
The motor had chrome rings in it. I should’ve left the rough 280grit dingle ball hone and just put them back in lol.
