Buying from afar

@69conv, I'm surprised there hasn't been any mention of setting up an escrow account for the transfer of payment funds and title following receipt and inspection of the vehicle. That's what I did when I bought my Dart from out of state some years ago.
The seller agreed to the arrangement, I deposited payment in the escrow account and arranged transportation. The car was delivered to me, I inspected the car and then released the transportation delivery. I contacted the escrow company and released payment to the seller.
If the car had not been as described and I refused to accept upon delivery, the transportation company would have loaded it back up and taken it back to the seller. The payment funds in escrow would have then been released back to me.
Good luck with your purchase.
I assume the buyer agreed to pay the cost of shipping and also BACK if the car did not get approval! Otherwise the seller is delivering a car for free inspection and consideration?
