Buying from afar

I (the buyer) paid the cost of transportation to me, but the seller was responsible for the cost of return transportation if I did not accept the vehicle.
Fortunately, the Dart was as described and also included more parts than had been in the initial description and photos.
When all was said and done, I figured the purchase price covered all of the new parts (including a Mopar crate engine - 380 horsepower, 360 small block, freshly rebuilt 727, 8.75 489 rear, new exhaust system, Auto Meter guages, and more) and the car itself was free.
I find that so many times, especially on a lower priced car, (as in lets say for instance, 318 vs say a 383 car), in todays market, so many buyers want to buy a car with perfect paint (they want that for free IF or not the seller did not pay a resto shop $8-10,000 for the work ), they might like just said, pay for the sum of new parts, (maybe) they want the value of the builder car for free, they do not want to pay for the machine shop work (as it would NOT be what they would have done id they were paying) slightly wrong cam, .5 point to much compression etc), they want perfect interior for free or just about, etc etc. Really?

OK so its maybe a buyers market today.

Yea Mecum is a different ballgame and different level of models. 600 high end cars with at one location and the thrill of an auction.

Over the years, decades, these old cars come and go. That is life unfortunately for me. Toop bad. I have sold with my pics, description, and the BUYER paid shipping. I never considered shipping a car anywhere NOT paid for just to be inspected by the buyer. 99.9% of the time, the buyer would always tell me how the car was better than expected whether he came in person to look or just bought over the phone. ( before text and people actually talked). That is what I always wanted, the car to be better than advertised or described. But I never wanted to short myself of $ either. Fair is fair.

I guess I am just behind in the times.
