"All I wanna do is have some fun..."

So I had this earworm song running through my head damn near all weekend, and while I was driving around and mulching leaves yesterday afternoon it finally dawned on me why.....

I've been busting my *** working on the house ever since we bought the place 2 years ago, and I'm getting close to finishing things up. Or so I think (knock on wood).

When I was a kid in H.S. I built myself a SB Vega, and under the right (wrong?) conditions, particularly with the "Lincoln Locker" rear end, it could scare the bejeezus outta me! And I've never forgotten that car.

As I've told my wife dang near a thousand times (and @barbee6043 a week or so ago when we spoke on the phone), I want to build just one more car that "scares me" a little before I'm too old to enjoy such tomfoolery. I don't to want sink a gazillion dollars into it, and it doesn't have to be pretty ("all hat and no cattle"), but I think I'd like it to have enough power, and traction, to be able to "pick" the front tires under ideal conditions. (Under non-ideal conditions? Full on hooliganism!)

So, next summer is the shed/shop build-out, and next fall/winter I'll be looking for...something. I'd love to do it now, but I can't put the cart before the horse. (And if barbee's '66 Farilane is still available next fall: SOLD! No questions asked.)

Anyone else have the same itch?
