Get yourself a bottle of this adhesive remover. I use it all the time to remove adhesive residue from vinyl graphics and other glues. Nothing works faster and it won't harm your paint. Soak it real good and let it sit for about 60 seconds then keep wetting it as you scrape the glue off with a plastic chisel. I follow it up with a wipe down of isopropyl alcohol to clean up the all the remover.
