12:05 Garage- ’70 Duster build

I tried very hard to mount the fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail so I could keep the fender wells clean. Nothing would work, so here it mounted on the fender well. After I got the pressure set, I could immediately tell it was happier. The old corvette regulator was at 75psi at idle. Fuel pressure is nice and steady at 60psi.

PSC power steering reservoir is also installed. I hated to spend the money on this as much effort as I put into figuring my problems out. After draining the fluid and seeing how dirty it was from only a short amount of time being in there, this was the right choice. Cavitation it rough on pump parts, I'm sure that's why it was dark. This tank also has a filter in it.

New wheels are ordered and should be in this week. I'll post an update once I get them.

I drove 105 miles (one way) to go autocross this past weekend. The course was long this time with my best time being 70 seconds. Lots of fun with a portion of the course on a road course. My tires are showing their age, but it was still a good time and the car ran flawlessly. I worked on the fuel economy tuning a little on my 1.5 hour interstate drive. I don't know what kind of mileage it got with strictly highway driving. However, after 105 miles on the highway and 6 long autocross runs, it averaged 14mpg. I'd image its close to 20 or more with strict highway cruising.
