I know this is strickly an opinion based question, but I need to get some new wheels for my fathers 69 swinger. He currently has the Cragar ss which we purchased 20 years ago, i would lkie something a bit differnet, but nothing seems to look and fit quite as nice as these. I do like the series 61c, but they only come in 18" and will problaby not fit. Post up what you got, lets see some other options!!!!

I agree. You like what you like. Cragars like Torque Thrust are time less.
Always been a fan of mix match of any aftermarket front and steelies rear. I like old school chrome or aluminum slots on the front. Not seen often anymore.
Depending on back space, width, and tire size 18'' will fit. Just have to have the right combo.

Since this car is not a numbers matching dart swinger I dont feel so bad making some changes to the overall look and feel of the car. I always felt the car needed a a wider tire in the back, so my plans are to get the front disc brakes done and a wider tire in the back. I going to look into that orange one i posted and see if i can get a bit more info on it as i reallt like the overall look of it, but the black is really growing on me!!!

One simple, important question. What bolt pattern has it got? Still the stock 5 on 4"? Choices are seriously limited.
If converted to 4 1/2, choice is UNlimited.
My favorite wheel on almost anything is a gray torque thrust. Day two on anything from mid sixties on.....

The factory color with dog dishes has always been a nice simple old school muscle car look...widening the back tires like you mentioned really adds to that meaty muscle car look. There are a couple in the bing images with the rear tire fattened up a bit.

Hold on a second.....

Is this your car, or your fathers?

If it's the former, and he likes the Cragar SS's he purchased 20 years ago, why are you going to change them?

Uhm. HELL NO !! Anything but !

Its my fathers, but he no longer drives. We purchased it when i was 15 years old, now i'm 47! Since it was just repainted 4 years ago and it just sits in the garage, I ordered a hoist for my garage and will be bringing it to my house. Take it out next summer to the local car shows and bring him with me.

Your a good son.

put me down in the steelies with dog dish category. satin black or body color could look sharp on just about anything.

i like torque thrust D's and cragars/keystones for that old school look, but in 15" with that bulge-y sidewall and underslung look.

remember that color has an impact as well. for instance, to me chrome rims on a white cars look terrible. but like they say, there's an *** for every seat.

Of all thos pics, I kinda like the black rims

while i like the black steelies and pick up of hood and tail stripe with it, that radiator cradle needs to get painted black like yesterday.

also, running around like you're looking for a hole to crawl into all stink bugged out is a cool look on 70's dirtball street machines, but looks butt on this. the low hanging exhaust and front tire clearance screams: tell me you don't drive this car on the street without telling me you don't drive this car on the street.

Wheel style is subjective, has the car been converted to large bolt pattern? If not, options are limited.

My car below.
