i'm not saying you couldn't do this or something like this on an early car, but that's a helluva lotta work that $250 solves.

I wouldn't say measuring, two cuts, some grinding and drilling two holes is lot of work. if you look at the thread, it cost him $100, has a 1.25 sway bar. You could literally mount it the same way a hellwig is mounted. The mounting brackets don't require any rocket science to make. So for folks on a budget, it's a great way to get that huge sway bar.
