Need help. New mopar student.

Your biggest issue will be a correct four barrel and jetting to work with the 318. It doesn’t have the valves, ports, exhaust and cubic inches like the 340.

My best carb with a 318 was a 273 four barrel. Not sure about the bolt pattern though for that manifold. Maybe a 273 carb can use an adapter or drill the throttle plate.
You can at least match the CFM and jetting for a 273 four barrel. There was an article about using this carb for a 318 years ago. Works great.

318 four barrels I believe used 340 heads so it’s not the same. Be conservative with CFM and jetting or you will flood your mixture.

I’m sure someone can suggest a carb but don’t expect to bolt on a 340 carb and go. Too rich I would think.

Blast/wire wheel/paint it. Check the mating surface that it is flat and not warped or you could have all kinds of problems with vacuum or coolant leaks.
