Rear seat interchange 67 dart 2dr hd top

This is an interesting topic.
On the surface, I'd think that any A body from 1967 would fit another 1967-76 model but....
There may have been changes. Maybe the 2 door models differ from 4 door cars? I thought that I was told that the 4 door cars had rounded corners on the lower cushion to provide more room to get into the back seat.

Only 67-76 2-door hardtop Dart or Scamp. 67-69 Barracuda coupe does not fit, nor do fastback or 2-door or 4-door sedan...

Yup, the 2 and 4 door cars are different for sure. And the 2 door hardtop being different from the 2 door post cars makes sense too since they used 4 door stuff. Barracudas were a whole different animal, and of course the Demon/Duster/Dart Sports are different too.

For the 2 door hardtops there are small changes over the years, the mounting tabs were changed at one point, I think that was around ‘70? Shouldn’t stop them from interchanging but you might have to fiddle with retention of the seat back at the bottom, would be covered by the seat though so not a visible issue.

Next would be when they went to retractable seat belts, the corners of the seats were relieved to make room for the retractable seatbelt mechanism. But 67-76 hardtops should all interchange as long as you’re not completely hung up on it being exactly correct. If you are, 67-69 would be the best bet, although I think the retractable seat belts didn’t start until late ‘72 or ‘73. My dates may not be perfect but they should be in the ballpark.
