I have the original 727 that came with my 72' B300 Van that had a 318 and a 69 and 70 bolted right up to them. It is now laying on the floor in my shop along side of a 727 that came out of a 70 dart with a 340 and they both appear to look the same. The one here in the photo does have a little extra meat on the tail shaft so I would think in was added being from a heavy van. If there is a clearance problem, just pull out the die grinder. You will need to change the driveshaft to fit. It should be shorter and can be cut to length at a driveshaft shop and rebalanced. Good fine!!!! I also used the van converter all these years and it works well.
