Small block 727?

When given the choice and having both transmissions to choose from I'll pick the 727 all day long!
We might as well if it was original to the car and did not have to modify things to make it fit...if it had a bolt in sprag and we needed the extra weight and beef for large horsepower application. Car craft had some dyno tests published in the past where the engine needed approximately 20 more horsepower just to spin the 727...so if you aren't running high R's the 904 is an excellent original choice.
