One step forward and other back on the project ...

Last year we spent 6months paused tracking down a usable trunk lid for my '68 Bcuda Convertible project. Now that the interior upholstery work is complete we are back to assembly at the body/build shop. Tuesday we ran through our extensive list of to-do's to align work for the 6months we'll be away in Tucson fro the winter. We've come to realize the trunk came from a '67 and would like people's validation (pic below and will exchange the taillight lens to match to the '67 if that is what it is versus a '69).

Next ask ... Looks like the '67 trunk panels are not available from any aftermarket manufacturers? I need to find/refurb a pristine one and have found a couple on eBay that appear candidates to ship to a chrome and metal work shop in Centralia, WA that has done a great job re-chroming all our parts. That said, the two candidate panels on eBay do not have the 6 mounting brackets, they only have the panels. Doe anyone have a suggestion or know where I might track these down? I already called Wildcat Mopar yesterday and they do not have any.

HELP !!!

Yes indeed it is a 67. The holes for the trim prove that. Also, does the underside frame of the lid have openings or is it one solid piece? That is the easy way to tell the two, 67's have the open underside frame. Lids are the same for convertible and coupe. There are three separate aluminum trim panels for the 67 while there are only two for the 68 and very hard to find in good shape. What is your main plan, to have a correct 68 or does in matter?

I attached the only pic I have below (it's 75miles away from me but will be there Tuesday).

Looking and focusing on the rears of the Gen2's, I think we are partial to the '67 configuration, and this is really themed as a non-purest RestMod. Peter Bergman already scolded me for painting the engine bay black, but we opted for that so any scratches from future engine work could be easily touched-up.

Yes, 67 lid for sure. Finding the center 67 trim piece is easy, the top piece not too hard, but that bottom piece is really hard to find in good shape.

I would go with 67 if you're not too worried. You already have the trunk lid for it and it's painted. Sell the 68 lights(not sure if they're repopped) for some good coin. You can buy all 67 stuff repop. Not sure if middle trunk panel is avail repop?
You mentioned chroming? The trunk trim isn't chromed, it's anodized.
Beautiful car!

I see I posted on the other thread you have going. You're already being schooled on the 67 lid and 68 taillights ain't gonna work to good !

Besides all the 67 tail lights and trim you will also need reverse light assemblies. Just another thought.

Are those the small round lights below the license plate on the lower valence? If so, do you know who makes those or a part #? I can't seem to find them at Classic Industries

Here they are, probably cheaper than classic. PG I believe are the manufacturers and everyone else buys from them.
Lenses are not repopped and pricey.

Thanks for finding these. So I'm confused about what other parts are needed (e.g. lens and light)?

Found this on CI but looks suspect. If that isn't the lens, so you have a suggestion as-to who might have them?
