Project Cheap & Nasty Updated With Back Story
Cheap & nasty's cylinder head. It looks a lot worse than it is. I'm not using the 66 casting. I don't even know what year this one is, but it's a revised chamber head. But the reason I'm using it is because The guides and seats are pretty nice. I knurled the guides a while back. I know that's divisive, because there are two camps regarding that. Some say it's ok to knurl and some say it's a short lived, easy fix. The Comp 901 spring is what I plan on running. So I figure with such light spring pressure and a very mild cam it will last a while. Besides, remember cheap & nasty? I do plan on getting it milled just enough to clean it up. All I plan on doing is lapping the valves in. I'm even going to use some blue Viton umbrella seals. Cheap & nasty.
