What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

Not sure if working on your trailer qualifies for this thread but I'll take a shot at it. I realized that the front of my 24' enclosed trailer (up in the vee area) had become a junk pit. So I decided to try to make something a bit more "organized." The trailer battery box is against the left wall and I carry a small generator along the right wall so whatever I did, it had to fit between those two items. And it had to have room for the winch cable to come rearward under it from the point of the vee as well.

Soooo....first, I bought a couple used metal office cabinets off Marketplace (even got the keys to the drawers!). Painted them a bit and built a sub-frame to tie the cabinets to the floor. It ended up a lot more work than planned as I had to relocate and cut some of the E-Track as well. And of course the trailer frame structure was in the way of mounting like I wanted. Anyhow, got it all secured and actually think I'm going to like it.

Started with these cabinets:

And ended up like this (nevermind the messy cardboard on the floor!):

Still have to make a countertop for it. I got a sheet of 1/2" PVC that I'll cut and run the router on to make one. I'll add a little lip/backsplash on the back, install it onto the cabinets, and call it done.

Maybe overall a bit cheesy bit it was a LOT cheaper than ordering the trailer with cabinets when I bought the trailer!
