Wow, Simply Awesome!

My father in law used to install antennas on the top of buildings, and climb those massive radio towers. Traveled all over the US doing it.
He was all of 5'5" and may have weighed 115lbs. Strong as an ox!
There is no way my *** would ever consider doing that. I asked him if he had a death wish, and he told me, "yeah, I didn't want my family to starve." Have to admire that.
Later in life he became a golf cart mechanic, but he would stand and stare at the cell towers when they started going up all over the place and you knew he was jonesing for another climb up those things.
I would think that it takes a certain type of personality to handle that kind of work. I couldn't do it.

It would be interesting to learn the history of that kind of work. I mean, somebody had to design all of that stuff knowing that someone was going to have to put it together.
