Need recommendation for a Carb for better MPG!

They're all pretty much the same. Amazon has some for between 20 and 30 Canadian.
Once you've got your timing dialed in, use the pressure reading to verify that you have the right step up spring in your 1406. If your spring is too heavy for the vacuum you're pulling, you're going to be in power enrichment mode more often than you need to. Also, if you've never checked, make sure that your floats are set correctly. If they're too high, you might be inadvertently dumping un metered fuel into her. Along the same line, the Edelbrocks don't like fuel pressure too high. I had to put a pressure regulator between my pump and carb to dial it back to 5 PSI. My Carter fuel pump was just a bit too much for mine.
Hey, this is fantastic, detailed information that I will definitely be able to use, Thank You!! One thing that has come up lately is that after I drive the Demon, put it in the garage, the garage smells pretty bad of gas so I will have to explore before I drive again. I don't smell it when I drive it. I'm also embarrassed to say that I do not own a timing gun, yet. So, any recommendations will be appreciated. Thanks for the vac gauge info!
